Adjusting Browser Print Settings

Brief Overview

When a page is printed from the internet, all internet browsers will automatically print the date, time, page title, or URL of that page on the header or footer as a stamp.  

This article will demonstrate how to remove the header and footer URL when printing from Clinic to Cloud on your browser. 

 

The Short Version

  • Go to browser settings
  • Go to Print settings
  • Turn off Headers and Footers

 

Instructions

Google Chrome:

  1.  In the top right-hand corner of the browser, click on the Customise and Control icon. mceclip0.png  

  2. Click on Settings and click Print from the drop-down menu.

  3. Uncheck the Headers and Footers option underneath the Margins option.mceclip2.png

  4. Click Print.

Safari:

  1. Click the File menu and click Print… from the drop-down menu. The print dialog appears.

  2. Select Show Details.

  3. Uncheck the Print headers and footers option.

4. Click Print.

Firefox:

  1.  Click the File menu and click Page Setup from the drop-down menu.

  2. Click the Margins & Header/Footer tab.

  3. Click the menu that displays URL and Page # of # and select --blank-- from the menu.mceclip4.png

  4. Click OK.

  5. Click Print.

Internet Explorer:

  1. Click the File menu and choose Page Setup from the drop-down menu.

  2. Click the menu that displays URL in the Headers and Footers section and select -Empty- from the menu.

  3. Click OK.

  4. Click Print.
